A downloadable game for Windows

Description:

Ice Age is a simplistic and very concise 2D platformer. It was originally being made for the Game By Its Cover 2016 game jam, though I intend on expanding it after the jam is complete. My initial plan was simply to construct a cute and tiny game to ensure that I never got overwhelmed and that I could complete it within the 30 day deadline, which I feel I managed to do quite well.

I programmed the game from scratch using C++ and SDL. It is open source (licensed under the LGPL), and the repository can be found here.

Install instructions

Download the ZIP file and extract the contents wherever you like
Run setup.bat
Follow the on-screen instructions in order to install the Visual Studio development library (which is needed for the game to run) and the game itself
Navigate to the directory where you installed the game and run Ice Age.exe
I would highly recommend reading TUTORIAL.txt (it's very short!) since the controls and fundamentals are not explained in-game
